Goodwin's Theory :
Goodwin's theory allows there to be a relationship between visuals and lyrics, that allows the music video to be successful.
Genre Characteristics : Demonstrating their young boy band within the video because of them, with youthful energy, this can appeal to the teen audience as well as having the pop convention.
Lyrics and visuals : the lyrics are reinforced in the music video, the lyrics speak about being beautiful as a car with young women drives past on the screen
Music and Visuals : the song is cheerful an upbeat which links with the vibe of the music video, (on a beach with a group of boys having fun, etc), it also reflects the positivity throughout the music video.
Close-ups and Motifs : the constant close up of the individual band members whilst doing their solo's allows them to have their moment of stardom, furthermore they are able to connect with the audience personally
Intertextual Reference : their video resonates with the music videos and boy bands such as Duran Duran with Rio, both are very similar and are on a beach surrounded by beautiful women
